i don’t think i ever watched “THE WIZARD OF OZ” as a kid, but i did watch “THE WIZ”…which was the black version. all i can say is that this movie is a MUST. everything from the music, the fashion, the dancing and the art direction are spectacular! if none of those things interest you, it’s worth the watch to see MICHAEL JACKSON as the adorable scarecrow and DIANA ROSS as dorothy. this movie was also directed by the great SIDNEY LUMET. bravo!!! just “EASE ON DOWN THE ROAD!”

I'm so ashamed to say, I've NEVER seen this movie. :-( Oh Michael!
Watched this on VHS as a child in the late 80s, got it on dvd 5 years ago, yeah @k.nishell that orange thing was scary with that little witch doctor man controlling them, creepy. I love love this film it's a shame it floped. I'm also on the wizard of oz, that is my movie for life. Don't forget the cameo of the late great richard priyor. good post girl!!!
man I miss MJ bad! :-(
The Wiz! I'm amazed that this was considered a disappointment by the critics. Ha! What do they know?
I remember watching this movie soooo many times in June, the month before MJ died...
then, my dad deleted it off of our DVR to make room for 2 & 1/2 Men--which he doesnt even watch......That pissed me off.
