‘To You, From Me’ is a collection of all my favorite love songs, past and present. With artists ranging from Peter Frampton to The Weeknd, Stevie Wonder to The Smiths, Portishead to Drake, The Carpenters to Method Man…there is no doubt in my mind that this mixtape won’t have at least one song for everyone to vibe to. The title was left vague and simple because, like the music, I wanted everyone to feel included – as if this mix was made just for you or the ones you love.
My Director brain had to scatter in scenes from my a few of my favorite romance films…”Popeye”, “Punch Drunk Love”, “Sixteen Candles” and “Jerry McGuire”.
In such chaotic times like these, I truly hope that today you spend your day loving all those you encounter – but especially taking time to love yourself…because, I love you.
