Wikipedia defines Jodeci as…
“Jodeci (/ˈdʒoʊdəsi/ JOH-də-see) is an American R&B quartet with members DeVanté Swing, Mr. Dalvin, K-Ci, and JoJo. Formed in 1989 in Charlotte, North Carolina, Jodeci’s members began their musical careers as two duos of brothers and, after years of limited success, joined forces. After signing with Uptown Records in 1991, the group began to work on their debut album, Forever My Lady, which brought them mainstream success with the Billboard Hot 100 single “Come and Talk to Me” and the album’s titular track.[1]“

To sum it up, Jodeci was this 90’s girls everything. They were forward and edgy, something not common in the R&B genre. The combination of their soulful music, sensitive lyrics and bad boy styling was so progressive for the times. Dressed in black leather looking like a biker gang singing lyrics like “Lady, I would cry for you” or “Forever my lady”?!
The vocals of K-Ci and his brother JoJo were harmonious perfect and although Devanté Swing and Mr. Dalvin had vocals and production on lock – they were the eye candy for girls (or whoever) around the world.

As a young girl kicking it with my homegirls, it was always the debate…”who was finer?!” I mean, at the time it was Mr. Dalvin, but I see the fineness of all of them in their own way.
Either way, in celebration of today being Mr.Dalvin’s birthday…here are our favorite Jodeci Jams!
