Last Friday night can be summed up by the phrase popularized by Black Rob, “LIKE WHOA”. I was set to DJ from 10PM to 1130PM, but our second DJ was a bit late so I played until 1AM. It was nerve-racking but very fun!
By 1AM, DJ RUNNA came through to play a set of mega hits. At that point the crowd was super amped. Around 130AM, SWIZZ BEATZ got on the decks and brought along a VERY SPECIAL FRIEND…MISS ALICIA KEYS.
Referring to what SWIZZ did as “DJ’ING” would be an understatement. It was more like a concert, a live show. The energy in that room was magnetic. Everyone crowded the DJ booth and snapped away pictures while reciting every lyric from the hit songs that SWIZZ played. It was insane, actually. ELLE summed it up by saying “It was the kind of night that you know everyone told someone about..”
