while i was browsing classic GWAR videos, it made me think back to my days in Albany. hanging out on Lark Street and going to hardcore shows at the QE2…oh, my days as a little straight-edged misfit. it was around the time i would venture out of the hood and learn about much different things that i had ever seen. while i wasn’t super into hardcore, i loved (and still love) the energy that came from it’s youth culture. i found some footage of great shows that took place back then at the legendary venue. RIP!
*it’s now called FUZE BOX, but i will always remember it as QE2.
*my homie ROB FUSCO’s old band, ONE KING DOWN (ALBANY HC BAND, RIP) + MASTER PLAN. ROB is now in MOST PRECIOUS BLOOD.
*my friend JOSH’s old band. i think i was at this show, hiding in the corner like usual. i’m into different things, but i wasn’t about to step in the wrong place and be pummeled by a windmill.

I miss the old Lark Street, though. I worked at the Planned Parenthood there. :)
