If you’re a reader of my blog than you are familiar with one of my dearest and bestest friends, RAUL LOPEZ. He launched his own line a few years ago, LUAR ZEPOL, and has been wowing us all ever since. His collections always seem to contain an avant garde aesthetic mixed with his Dominican and Brooklyn roots, which always makes for something architectural and slightly hood.
On Wednesday, he held a renegade fashion show…literally. We all crowded the Chrystie Street Park for one of the most exciting shows that occurred during Fashion Week…LUAR ZEPOL’S “El Bosque Lo’ Que”. In true hood fashion, RAUL and his team organized a show in a public park without permission from the city. It was exciting to say the least…the most original show I’ve seen ever!
MORT & HARRY
REBA, NAOMI YASUDA, VASHTUE, SABEL BOO, AVIVA & VIVIAN
We spotted the models…marching in, literally.
They all lined up in a half circle formation, which felt like they were about to perform a ritualistic  sacrifice.
The designer, RAUL LOPEZ, and his models post show.
