I haven’t done a random and useless “Life” post in forever. For those of you who are new to Vashtie.Com, you might not be familiar with this portion of my site. When I launched this little platform of mine in 2007, it was built on the sharing of my random and useless life details.

Anyways here goes!

Last night I organized a little Girls Get-Together for me and my longtime homies at one of my favorite New York City joints – Jacks Wife Freda. I decided to bring a giant bottle of Moët & Chandon Nectar Rosé that the brand gifted me last summer.

I have to say, my friends were very interested in why I, the non-stop workaholic robot, decided to do the unlikeliest thing of scheduling a personal hang session for no reason.

Long story short. Very recently, my family had been dealing with medical issues and then my friends and I lost our beloved friend Leo Velazquez (LV The Stylist). It got me really realizing that time is fleeting and life isn’t promised. Unfortunate for me to realize it after those events, nonetheless…I’m making cognizant efforts to spend time with the ones I love.

I also decided to celebrate the moment with a nice bottle of bubbly, because I didn’t want to wait for a reason…in case that moment never comes.

Maybe this will also serve as a friendly reminder to you, my loves.
