Good grief. As if Fashion Week wasn’t enough to fret about, you have Fashions Night Out. It was started with good intentions of getting people to shop, hence helping sales during a tumultuous economy…but now, everyone (and I mean everyone) and they mama host a Fashion Night Out. That makes traversing the city difficult and impossible to support all the people you love in one single evening.

I decided I had to support the homie FUTURA’S Art Opening which was not Fashion Affiliated per se, but would definitely hold all the most impossibly creative people under one roof. Since his creative babes (literally) are also the homies – TIMOTHY MCGURR aka 13TH WITNESS & TABATHA MCGURR, I had to pay my respects. It was also curated by NEMO LIBRIZZI, so you know it would be bomb!

I made sure I was there to support OSCAR 1992 and DEEMEHLOW at the PUMA party which was happening at THE HOTEL RIVINGTON. I got there near the end and then walked over to the Lower East Side staple, EARTH MATTERS, for some amazing vegan grub. Since they recently informed the public that their rent was raised to an impossible amount and they can no longer afford to be there, I feel like I need to support as much as I can before they’re gone on September 20th. They are the best!

Last, but definitely not least, SUPREME was having a party at WESTWAY. Their first party in about 10 years. After being in that scene for about that long, working for James Jebbia in the early 2000’s and seeing that (no shade to anyone else) they are the definitely the most influential and important streetwear brand ever…I had to support. Not to mention, they had THREE 6 MAFIA performing!!! Boom!!!
