Last night was a major moment for me! I was given the incredible honor of DJ’ing the Tommy Hilfiger afterparty for his collaboration with world renowned racecar driver, Lewis Hamilton. #TommyxLewis is the name and I even got to model part of the collection…which was honor enough.

But, knowing I would DJ their major afterparty was overwhelmingly exciting, and just a little nerve-wrecking. I mean, the secret performer would be Travis Scott and although it wouldn’t be the first time performing on the same stage as Travis (the other time was DJ’ing for Moët & Chandon’s NY Party in 2017) – it was still giving me a little anxiety, because I needed to bring my A-game.

 

And A-game, I borught! Thanks to my HMU team (@killahcamz and @angelinaNY), Tommy Hilfiger for dressing me (I picked the most Aaliyah-esque ook) and to having my team and my friends support and amp me up Corinne Cater @TheyCallMeCater, Desus and Mero, Edwin Ortiz Jr @EdwinOrtizJR, Dabian Canales @DabianCanales and Pennie @PenniePeace!

Everyone was there…Just to name a few – Nicki Minaj, Hailey Baldwin, Winnie Harlow, Gigi Hadid, Karreuche, Victor Cruz, Vic Mensa, Lewis Hamilton and Tommy Hilfiger and Chris Tucker! Let me just say, that I played the jams – and he and his wife were loving it! I even played Michael Jackson “Remember The Time” just for him and he turned it into a huge lip synch performance that had the crowd watching and filming!

I was so nervous to start and then I quickly chilled out when I played Tom Petty, which was perfect because they said they wanted a mix of music in the beginning and “rock” was requested. Then, to have my friends on stage – I was gucci. I let loose and even danced a little. Watch the recap video that Dabian made…

Shiggy came through and it was nice to finally meet him because we’ve been Instagram messaging each other about our love for cats for years!  And then, of course,  he did some major dancing on the stage.
