Last night, I was invited to a 50 person seated dinner (thanks to TEAM EPIPHANY) at the newly re-opened BAGATELLE in honor of NAS. Sponsored by MOET ROSE, the champagne was flowing like water…seriously, there was never a flute empty at any point.

It was a star studded dinner. My dear friend Q-TIP was DJ’ing alongside DJ WONDER. TEYANA TAYLOR, SWIZZ BEATS, ANGIE MARTINEZ & NAS (of course) were in attendance. Also worth noting, legendary music business legends were also on deck; JOIE MANDA, KAREN KWOK, PECAS and more.

I was sitting in between EMIL WILBEKIN and ALICIA QUARLES when “LIVE AT THE BARBECUE” came on the speakers. I literally was transported back to Albany as a youngin’…laying on my bedroom floor, listening to Nas and dreaming of living in New York City. And…here I was…living in New York City and included in an intimate dinner for NAS and surrounded by the people who impacted the music industry!

WHOA.

My head was spinning and not from the champagne, because I wasn’t drinking. My head was spinning from this feeling of De Ja Vu. I am living a dream that I envisioned as a kid. Sounds a bit corny, but dreams really do come true with hard work!

Don’t be mad at me, I didn’t bring my camera. I can’t find my camera charger, but I promise to look for it today! Anyways, I took some iPhone photos and “borrowed” one from other blogs who covered the event.
