last week SKY informed me about a NIKE iD Design Tournament that he was supposed to be participating in, but would not be able to due to a last minute trip to LA LA. instead, he asked me to fill his place and represent RIOTTT.COM on Saturday 3/14 at the Mercer store. i’m still a little weirded out that i wasn’t invited to design – but, i see how it is :'(

*the battlefield. you were only allotted 15 minutes and the mission was: DESIGN A SHOE (DUNK JI) THAT BEST REPRESENTS THE GREATEST COLLEGE BASKETBALL OF ALL TIME. lucky for me, i was a NIKE iD veteran and my teammate is a basketball geek!

*ok, so i don’t know much about basketball…but I LOVE JORDANS and MICHAEL JORDAN. i also have been rooting for CAROLINA lately. it was a no brainer…UNC TARHEELS! you can’t see it, but the heel of the shoe reads EST. 1982 – Jordan shot the game-winning jumper to beat Georgetown in the Championships. how did i know that? i didn’t, that was SCOOZLE.

*our competition…ANGIE MARTINEZ. she was with her adorable son who gave me a high 5.

*it’s simple and classic. we could have been more adventurous, but wanted to stick within the goal and stay true to the team colors.

*after all that hard work, it was brunch at B BAR. i highly suggest eating here. their complimentary BANANA BREAD is unreal and the MAPLE BUTTER that you spread on it is just sensual seduction.

*last time i ate there i was with CUDI and PAT and i watched a man’s ponytail catch on fire by a candle sitting on the top of the booth seat. i was in direct eye contact with the back of his head and alerted him that his tail was ablaze. it was crazed, because it went up in flames literally. he ended up being fine…

*the oysters were…eh, ok.

*the egg white omelet was FANTASTICO!!!

*mmmm…steak and eggs!
