i’m not sure if you’ve heard about my friend GISELA’s god-daughter JASMINA but, she is a precious 6 year old girl who has a rare and aggressive form of leukemia. she needs a bone marrow donor or in 2 months this disease will take her life.
it’s important that everyone attend a drive if possible and do a simple cheek swab to see if you are a match. 2 out of every 10 patients will receive the transplant that could save their lives, but it’s even harder for minorities to find a match – WHICH IS WHY ITS IMPORTANT FOR THE AFRICAN AMERICAN COMMUNITY TO GET INVOLVED.

Oh my heart goes out to this little girl!! One thing I just found out for those that don't live in NY, you can order a do-it-yourself kit by going to http://www.dkmsamericas.org/category/learn-how-you-can-help/become-donor and filling out the form. So don't so you wish you could help her or another person. YOU CAN!! Read the eligibility information or call them if you have questions before you register.
