GQ Paris Men’s Fashion Week Party at L’Avenue – Kid Cudi, Pharrell, Pusha-T and more!

Fashion Week in Paris is always a wild experience. I’m not sure if it’s the combination of champagne, jet lag and couture…but it has a real good knack for taking my antisocial qualities and turning them into “Girls Gone Wild”, but for me that just means staying out past 2am.

Last night, Mark Anthony Green of GQ invited us out to a party at the celeb loved restaurant, L’Avenue. After a long day of fashion show attending, including Dior (which was fabulous), I needed a nap…and wasn’t entirely sure I could hang late night. I woke up at 1am and decided to get the show on the road. It seemed way too late to venture out, but I would learn shortly that it was perfect timing.

Also, I might be the only one with photos from this night – because everyone else was being low key and not doing socials or photos. Just saying! As soon as we arrive, I saw my brother Pusha. I gave him a hug and then ran into another old friend…Pharrell.

Shortly after, I saw Frank Ocean…tucked away in the corner completely solo, just enjoying the sounds being played by Acyde. We had chatted on email when he dropped his mixtape “Nostalgia, Ultra” back in 2011 – but we had never met. He was in his own world and I didn’t want to disturb him entirely…so we spoke briefly and decided not to take his photo for his potential privacy. I mean he is a generational and national treasure!

Then I saw Cudi! My darling friend that I also hadn’t seen in years! I can’t believe how much time has gone by, how everyone has evolved and even how much the world has changed! It’s so fascinating. Our scene was so small, we knew everyone in it – now it’s endless how many people are in the same movement.

After chatting for a bit and enjoying laughs, Timothée Chalamet literally squeezed in with his friend…pretending to locate their jacket behind the booth and then just sat down in between me and Cudi. It was pretty funny and a successful move, because I then moved to the bar.

Afterwards, we stopped at Hotel Bourbon for the Stüssy Party. Chris Brown was rumored to be there with many MMA looking security guards. Since we had chatted online about potentially doing work together, I thought it would be nice to introduce myself. Well, security was not having it…so I texted him and he realized I was in close proximity and let me into his area to say a quick hello.
