Vashtie made waves in Toronto this weekend by headlining the official after party for the Manifesto Music Festival and hosting an event with photographer Che Kothari.
The Manifesto afterparty was held in collaboration with the monthly party group High Power in the West End of Toronto. Vashtie was spinning with fellow guest DJs Nino Brown and Dre Ngozi, playing Hip Hop, Dancehall, Soca, Afrobeats, & Global House. In honour of Pride Month, there was an emphasis on LGBTQ+ people and the diversity of the scene was celebrated.
On Vashtie’s second day in the city, she was featured at an event where she was in conversation with fellow creative Che Kothari. The pair talked candidly about many topics, such as career, health, and growing up. Vashtie shared highlights from her career and gave some advice to the audience.
