In February, talented writer and Executive Editor of PAPER MAGAZINE – ALEXIS SWERDLOFF reached out to me regarding an article she would pen entirely on me for the NEW YORK TIMES. Me, being the pessimist that I am, literally believed this was a joke (even believing it could quite possibly turn out to be a “CARRIE”-esque joke where I’m made a fool and someone dumps pigs blood on me) – I know, I’m weird…I have issues.
Anyways, I sat with Alexis twice for the interview. She was great and it felt like I was chatting with an old chum when we spoke. Later, my photo was taken by BEATRICE DE GEA who is a spectacular and super accomplished photographer (you have to check out her work). By that point it started to dawn on me that this was, in fact, real.
Although, it just truly hit me now as I’m looking at the online version of the article right now (the print version is available tomorrow – BUY IT).
